Last night we watched Free Guy [2021] again.
(Though maybe my bride only gets partial credit...even though she insists she was awake.)

I still think it is a great film!
(For folk who like movies like TRON [1982] or The Matrix [1999].)

The Northman.

Thoroughly enjoyable, chaotic and bloody telling of the Scandinavian legend that had inspired Shakespeare's Hamlet. While I would have preferred that the location and period hadn't been changed from the Pre-Viking Vendal period in Denmark to 9th century Viking era Norway, Russland (Russia-Ukraine), and Iceland, it still is high recommendable. The lead, Amleth, while the protagonist is hardly the hero, his father he wants to avenge is not the wonderful man Amleth remembers from his childhood, his mother is hardly worthy or in need of rescuing, and his uncle who he seeks to kill to avenge is father is not unsympathetic. Or in other words, it's perhaps more true to life.

American Beauty, (1999)

Far too modern in its attitudes and subject matter for my tastes, but not by any means uninteresting for all that. Most reviews seem to call it a 'masterpiece' or similar. Really?

I saw that when it first played in the theater. One of my favorites.

Last night we watched:

The Batman [2022]
<=>"Unmask The Truth"

We both thought it was a great movie.

It was also a beautiful movie...very polished and a classy style.

It reminded me of Dark City [1998] and Watchmen [2009].

Definitely recommended if you have any interest, or even toleration, for this genre.

I enjoyed it too, but IMO, I find it difficult that I managed to sit for three hours. :o

Robert Pattinson was great as the new Batman & in some interviews, he got
some advice from Christian Bale in order to avoid giving an awful performance.

We're watching something called Detroit Rock City, about teenagers going to a KISS concert.
It has a great soundtrack.
I remember when life was just life that.

I wanted to be Peter Criss for Halloween when I was about five. :P

Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

A theater near where I work had an anniversary screening
and this was one of the scariest movies I have ever watched! 8O
