Since 1986 in various QC and semi-technical roles in automotive plastic manufacturing. Currently a sweet position with great pay/benefits and loads of autonomy. I care about our product, our process, and my fellow employees (most of whom would be surprised by that, since I avoid them whenever I can!).

Full-time temp to perm worker for an IT company and a part-time soda merchandiser. Not great but hopefully they are stepping stones.

I'm a business writer. Been doing that for 20+ years. I had a rough time when the recession hit in '08. Had five jobs in five years from '08-'12 (last hired...first laid off). Am working at a good company now.

I'm an assistant manager at a Discount Tire. Decent pay, good benefits, not to mention I get 2.5 weeks of paid vacation every year(not including holidays). I'm also the lead vocalist of a heavy metal band...though, this is more of a hobby at the moment. We still turn a profit on merch though. :D

I started out as a PC/Server troubleshooter where I am now. Sort of a "Computer Whisperer" type...

High school math teacher at a tough urban school. Lots of changes, noise, multitasking, etc. Bright lights, too. Totally manageable if I have a little thing every day that I know I can control, so I can rely on it as my "rock". For example, a "rock" one day could be watching an episode of a favorite TV show that evening, or, calling a friend, or, playing Tetris/solving math problems by oneself. Then I can go "whew!" and feel secure.
