planting stuff outside in the garden is a naturally therapeutic way to cure boredom and that its interesting to watch things grow from seed and that there are benefits of boredom as it then allows you to convert it into doing more abstract things, whereas when bored its easy to get stuck on that known narrow path. the unknown is interesting to explore for a bit.
