In Final Fantasy, the broom in Matoya's cave talks backwards. If you reverse his message it says, "PRESS B AND SELECT" and it lets you see the world map when the input is performed.

Man, It's so interesting to read some of this random crap. Anyway...

Raiden, Metal Gear Solid 2's protagonist, was created after Hideo Kojima conducted a survey among several Japanese teenage girls, who protested "Who would want to play a game that has a bunch of sweaty old men running around?" Hence, Raiden was born.

In the 4th Ace Attorney/Gyakuten Saiban game, you don't play as Phoenix Wright, but a new attorney named Housuke Odoroki (He doesn't have an English name yet).

A line from the end of Final Fantasy IX seems to reference the protagonists of the previous two Final Fantasy games.

I forget who says it, but the line is: "No cloud or squall shall hinder us."

Another Soul Calibur 3 one: In the story mode, each character has a specific route they can take, which will lead to them entering a labyrinth, fighting their story-determined enemy, fighting an "Unknown Soul" who is shrouded in darkness, and then fighting the new character Olcadan, who uses a random fighting style and is very hard to beat. If you manage all of this without losing one battle, you won't fight Abyss at the end, you'll fight the much tougher Night Terror--who is much more of a traditional fighting game boss in that he cheats, has unblockable "lose half your health" moves and is generally cheap as all hell.

The three "Unknown Souls" are actually characters from the earlier games who didn't make the final roster--Arthur, Li Long and Hwang, using the generic fighting styles.

Devil May Cry was originally meant to be a new Resident Evil game, with the puppets originally being zombies.

I've mentioned this in my Smash Bros. topic but I'll mention it here too, the characters in Super Smash Bros. Melee are actually trophies that come alive and fight each other. If you look at the characters very carefully before the start of the match you can see their trophy bases. These show that the characters are trophies.

Also, beat Classic mode in less than 17 minutes on Normal difficulty or higher to fight both Master Hand and Crazy Hand. Same goes for adventure except that you fight Giga Bowser

OK, that was several random facts.

The gameworld of TES II: Daggerfall was roughly twice the size of Great Britian.

In Sonic and the Secret Rings, missions will open up after you defeat the final boss. Get Gold Medals on missions 4, 8 and 12 on Sand Oasis and you will unlock concept videos for the opening in production. Simarly, get gold medals on missions 3, 4 and 11 on Night Palace to unlock concept videos for the ending.

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the book that tells you how to catch the Hylian Loach is called The Legend of the Hylian Loach: Twilight Fish!

Oh so true.

In FFX, you use a sphere grid to level up.

Captain Obvious is in the house....

In Star Wars Battlefront II, you can unlock a special game mode on Mos Eisley and Kashyyk. The game mode pits the Light heroes (inlcuding the Jedi Order, Han Solo, and Leia) against the Dark heroes (including the Sith, the Fetts, and General Grevious) in a free for all game with the first team to reach a set amount of kills being the winner.

Video games don't have Captain Obvious in them.

The Nintendo Company was sued for the first Mario Party game for some of their minigames where you had to spin the joy stick around and it hurts your hand and sometimes it rips your skin open.

The company was sued again because some 14 year old Arizona boy broke his arm while using the DK Bongos while playing Donkey Konga so his parents sued them.

People don't sue each other for trivial things in video games.
