Why? Because a recent discovery (I'm not sure how recent) says something about Dinosaurs might have had feathers. Does it really matter? The movie could still be enjoyable even if the science is wrong. Heck the first movie said that frog DNA was half the reason why dinosaurs were cloned. Also I assume that those scientists didn't know that the dinosaurs 'had feathers' so they were not to do anything about. If Jurassic World turns out to be a good movie then is it OK for me to say that I like it or will those dumbass scientists call me dumb because I got news for them, we're not all eggheads and it's just a movie. Also even if the whole feathers thing is true I kinda don't want to believe it because it's sounds kinda silly. Sometimes the truth is something you don't want to know. Even if it's true I still wanna believe that the dinosaurs were the scaly creatures we se in movies, tv shows and documentaries. Sure maybe the dinosaurs that appear in Jurassic Park may not have looked exactly like the dinosaurs that existed all those years ago but a part of me who loves Jurassic Park kinda wants to.

I complain about the dinosaurs of Jurassic World having no feathers on WP since quite a while, though it don't seem to have been noticed...
The issue is that the first Jurassic Park movie changed the way public viewed dinosaurs in a way that was scientific accurate for the time, putting aside outdated perceptions like tyrannosaurus-rex having a kangoroo stance. Jurassic World however is sticking to the way dinosaurs were represented in the first Jurassic Park while there is now a need to update the public perception of them again; by doing so the public perception of dinosaurs is stuck in the early 90s.

Another issue is that Jurassic World is a dinosaur movie, but because of the innacurate representations there really is little to no dinosaurs in the movie. I want to see dinosaurs in a dinosaurs movie, which is somthing Jurassic World won't give me.

Also, even with feathers dinosaurs can look cool. 8)

Anything the dinosaurs have/lack that they didn't in real life can easily be explained away as mutations via the frog DNA mentioned in the first movie.

It's just another movie about a reptilian monster attacking humans.

Jurassic World IS a dumb monster movie!

So what? The goal is to make money by selling people the entertainment that they want. Since the movie seems to be making money because people are watching it, then the goal is being met.

Besides, just replace the dinosaurs with zombies, Gua'uld, uplifted apes, Decepticons, Aliens, Predators, Terminator robots, the Borg, mutants, cloned armies, et cetera, and you'll have covered just about every other dumb monster movie made in the last 50 years!

Lizards are a lot like dinosaurs and they don't have feathers. I read that crocodiles are supposed to be the closest living relative of dinos, and they don't have feathers. Also dinosaurs are usually shown with such "muddy" colors. If they're really ancestors of birds you'd think the males at least would have more striking colors or plumage like most male birds do.

Of course, unless it's a documentary, every movie about dinosaurs is "dumb". In The Land Before Time the dinosaurs all spoke English, and that was perfectly acceptable. And then there is Barney, Power rangers, and what has to be the absolute dumbest dinosaur movie of all: Dinosaur Adventure made by Dingo Pictures/Phoenix Games. Basically a ripoff of The Land Before Time with maybe a bit of Disney's Dinosaur movie, it has things that would make these scientists cry sad, sad tears, like what looks like a T-Rex born to parents that resemble apatosaurs, a tribe of gorillas, and another dinosaur with a round black nose and ears like a cartoon seal. Oh, and there's this one dino that lust looks plain...eek!

Jurassic World probably will be a dumb monster movie, I don't expect it to be as good as the first or even the 2nd. If Jurassic World is better than III then it was a success.

The dumbest thing about Jurassic Park is how a T-Rex ran as fast as a speeding jeep for a long time without falling over.

Science can go to hell, I prefer the featherless t-rex that defined my chilhood and the super-enlarged raptors, why? Because they're cooler, and you can't measure coolness inside a science tube!

Imagine if godzilla had feathers? Imagine how many childhood memories you would ruin... The horror...

Some dinosaurs in The good dinosaur will have feathers; meaning that Jurassic World will be dated only five months after it's release! It will teach them a good lesson.
