Mine is a quote form Herman Melville's, "Moby Dick".
It seems pretty fitting for me.

Mine stems from my hatred of NTAs, meaning Neurotypical a***holes. (I can't remember who exactly came up with that, but thank you SO much.) I decided to say NTA instead of NT, cuz I don't want to kill the NTs, just the NTAs.

Parnassianism is a French poetry movement from the 1800s.
The whole point is to obsess about the structure of tthe poem and make it perfect. Most of the Parnassian poets wrote about Grecian mythology, but some didn't.

It was said by the leader of the Oaxaca protests of last year. Protesters have been killed and have disappeared, and the saying simply conveyed that it didnt matter how many died, the movement for a just society would never be killed.

It's how I feel about life in general.

Mine is a quote from RD Lang's book....."The Politics of Experience".The book describes(for me)why psychiatrists should be careful in "treating patients",to keep in mind their own social,psyc,cultural biases and not try and project them on to the clients.
I liked the concept ,that the goal of "therepy" is not to create a person who is like everyone else but someone who functions the best within their own belifief systems.The goal is not to make a "plane" fly in the same formations( as a society that it self is dysfunctional)but to avoid hitting mountain peaks or crashing into the sea.

I think this quot fits well with my beliefs of how to best "deal" with AS.....not create another NT(which has it's own dysfunctions),but help a person become their own "best self" without losing what makes them "them".
