Because apparently, it's rather unprofessional to have a highly pitched voice. As a 20 year old, I sounded like a damned 12 year old. And most of all, people thinks I'm doing something stupid that I'm "trying to be cute" crap.

I'm hating "body language above else matters more" even more, but I really have to.

Did anyone manage this? Or at least came across as a problem?

If you know how to sing, you should be able to lower your tone. At first it might be irritating and might strain you, but practice makes perfect and with a lot of practice, you can do it without a problem. Just make sure you do not try too low.

I don't sing as often. I rarely sing at all...

My 'lower voice' is too monotone. 8O Would that work?

You might consider working with a speech therapist who can give you their expert opinions on what you should do, as well as the training required to make that change.
