As of now, that's what it stands at.

In Electronic Dance Music, this is a lucky number because:

The Roland TB-303 is a hallmark instrument in its history, associated with styles like acid house. If you need to wonder where you've heard it before, think of movie scenes like the opening shower of Blade and you're all set. It squeals, burns, and bites like a rabid kitty -- hence the term "acid".

When we get to 808, and 909, we'll have more to rejoice about!

I just finished listening to Acid Hop a few minutes ago, and I didn't hear any acid house (No offense. I just didn't hear any. Then again, I've never heard acid house alone before.). Was it the squeaky noise I kept hearing in the background?

Mich-

Try these links, these are real audio files of the TB-303 in action with out any other instruments to wash out the sound.

Thanks Mich for listening and Scoots for the links.

Mich, it's an acid variant -- in "Acid Hop", you hear this sharp, nasal, almost squealing instrument that gets spikier at times. And the "Hop" part is for hip-hop but you are precocious and observant so you already know this.

Cheerio :)

There's far more than 909 members. I think we hit 3000 members just a little while ago. Not that these people are all active, plus there's some members who have more than one account.
