I build electronic things. Mostly analog, sometimes with microcontrollers, haven't done any real digital IC stuff. The last significant thing I built successfully was a relay based Christmas light show controlled by music playing on my windows tablet. I did not write the code, but I understood how it worked. I am currently working on solar power system for my truck camper. I don't do well in classrooms, college essentially is not an option. I had a few ideas like washer repairman and ice cream truck man. Driving an ice cream truck sounds like a lot of fun to me, I know it isn't super well paying for the most part, but I am not all that motivated by money.

I wonder if some of your creative tinkerage, e.g. the solar truck thing, might have embedded in them somewhere a patentable innovation? It could be a side project to pursue that may or may not pay off while continuing to pay the rent with the truck route.

The solar power system is just a panel, a charger and a battery bank. It will run my inverter and some 12 volt appliances. I currently have a plan to move out of my parents house and live in my truck.

Perhaps you could refurbish electronics and flip them. Or maybe you could put kits together and sell those, like having a solar power kit to install on things or something like that. I myself buy stuff and resell it at a higher price on Bonanza and eBid, electronic items being one of them.

I have considered servicing and selling electronics. I had a plan at one point to buy broken guitar amps and fix them to sell, but that plan never came into fruition. I mainly like to build things, not really fix them. The kit idea sounds interesting though. I could buy parts and sell them with a pre-etched ciruit board and also sell pre assembled kits possibly.
