What's the stupidest thing you've ever done on kerbal space program? :duh: :duh:

one recent stupid thing i did was while i entered the atmosphere of Eve for a science mission: the science-alert mod i use gave me a list of high-atmosphere science to do, so i did all experiments, including an EVA-report.
since i was still burning off at mach 8, the result should be obvious...

:D Thanks for a good laugh! I am picturing the amazing dedication in that brave Kerbal who gave the last full measure of devotion for the good of science. "This is Major Tom to ground control. I'm stepping through the door. Kerbin looks very different today. Surprisingly, It smells like bacon, no wait that's m[loss of signal]"

I once built a rocket from the bottom up. Of course, autostaging makes the first first parts you place activate last, so the last stage would activate first. I forgot to restage the rocket, so when I launched it, the second stage fired directly into the first stage, and the whole rocket blew up. It reminds me of the Nedelin catastrophe, only with less charred bodies. :skull: Luckily, I managed to activate the launch escape system just in time, and my 3 kerbals were saved.

Once, I stuck an external command seat on a solid rocket booster. Of course, the drag was now off center. It didn't end well. :skull:
