Should reporter kicking a refugee go to jail?

She kicked a kid half her size and a man carrying a small child. The little kid could've hit his head in the fall. If I was there, I'd have punched her in the face.

She said she was scared, but she chose her victims carefully, the little ones, the man who can't fight back because he's holding a small child in his arms and can't put the kid down because it's too dangerous. She knocks him down when he's running away from her and not toward her. She doesn't step aside. She's not scared.

I know she was fired, but just curious. If she weren't fired, what would you have done? What do you think should be done?

Throwing somebody in jail for tripping someone is a bit harsh, she got fired which should be punishment enough.
