I'm surprised this book is so popular. It is quite technical most of the time. The main character seems pretty aspie too. You'd think it would only be popular among folks like us.

I read it and enjoyed it a lot. It covers chemistry, biology, and orbital dynamics. The main character is profane like me also.

I've never read the book, but I do plan on seeing the movie when it opens in October.

Considering they are talking about human missions to Mars, the timing of this film is not surprising.
