Have you ever smoked a cigarette before?

My parents smoked and quit before I was ever even thought of because my Dad got an ulcer. So they always impressed on me that smoking is evil and never do it and so on and so forth. Then inadvertently reinforced the lesson by making me visit my chain smoking, alcoholic grandfather. So by the time I was a teenager, I knew I wasn't going to be either a smoker or a drinker and mostly stayed away from those kids at school.

A few times. Back when I was broke and underage, though, so I knew getting addicted wasn't going to happen. Now that I'm neither of those, I won't touch them.
