I am new here and I am learning the Swift programming language in order to write apps for Apple iDevices. Is anyone else here learning Swift? I also like math and physics and astronomy and martial arts. I have no friends and would very much like to make the acquaintance of someone with similar or related interests. Thank you for reading this.

I appreciate the welcome, Alex. I know C quite well and I have also programmed in UNIX shell script, Mathematica, Matlab, IGOR Pro, and IDL. I am enjoying Swift. It is the most dense programming language I have ever learned, in terms of capability per key stroke. Right now I am writing a calculator app just to learn the process.
