Yesterday I was on a school trip with my part-time course class. We went on a bus trip to see a few gardening shops in order to compare them. There was a lot of talking and socializing, fluorescent lights, scented candles etc, as well as having to be careful to watch the road when we drove as I tend to get motion sickness. When I got home I had to pick up my two kids from kindergarten, who were very loud and running around the living room when I was trying to rest. I got very tired and had social and sensoric overload.

In the evening I had several instances of not comprehending what my husband said, or what people on the TV said. I'm not sure if the problem was volume or if I just couldn't work out the meaning of their words. A couple of times I had to ask my husband to repeat himself twice before I got what he was saying.

Anyone else experienced this?

For me it's my balance that fades away from sensory overload. Hence my screen name.
