Obviously there is a lot of political correctness going on here.
On the other hand, alcohol is a much larger and more severe problem than all the illegal drugs put together, especially among young people. How many young people die in alcohol-related accidents? How many because they are high on illegal substances? And this is {{{Prom Season}}}.
Add to that, alcohol is a poison. Young people are dying from alcohol poisoning, getting over-drunk in several stupid ways. Older people (like my next door neighbor) are dying from the long-term effects of too much alcohol.
Movies glamorize drinking, and have for longer than i've been on this planet. If you believe the alcohol commercials, drinking makes you witty and fun to be with. They practically guarantee that you will get laid. And drinking is an "adult" thing, so doing it makes you feel like an adult. These are all false notions.
If there was one piece of advice I would give to young people it would be "don't drink." It has ruined many lives (killed my father), and no matter what you think about your prowess, it can kill you, or at least ruin your life.
There. sermon over.
That said, I think it su{ks that you can't play Tequila and Margartiaville.
