Quote:
Beginning in January, Gun TV, or GTV Live Shopping as it will also be known, will air for six hours a day between 1am and 7am ET seven days a week. There are already plans for that to increase to 12 hours a day and then 24/7 by the end of 2016.

The channel, with the tagline “Live shopping. Fully Loaded”, will be available via national satellite and cable television providers. They have also pledged to run three minutes per hour of programming every hour promoting gun safety and responsible gun ownership.

Really america, really?
How many mass shootings each day do you need before you realise you guys need *less* guns around instead of more...
You guys are at 1.2 mass shooting per day, does it really have to go up to 1.5 or higher?; the US has twice as many mass shooting than the rest of the top-10 mass-shooting regions, COMBINED.
The rest of the world realised that gun control should be restrictive after the first ever mass-shooting (in their country), or even sooner.

Gun sales are increasing in the wake of the terrorist attacks. So unless they have bad marketing and business plan the investors in this channel are going to be very wealthy.

1.2 per day? Utter lie. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/04/opini ... .html?_r=0

There have been FOUR in 2015. That's about .0117 per day, not 1.2 per day.

If the rest of the world sacrifices freedom for security, that's their business. If the rest of the world wants to be government property, let them. I'd rather be responsible for my own safety, even if it means life is a little bit riskier. So be it.

Also, it's simple to take guns away. Pass a constitutional amendment revoking the 2nd amendment. That's all they have to do. That's ALL they have to do.

I dont see why this would be interesting. If you are interested in guns, you already have great Youtube channels like Hicock45 and IV8888. If you want to buy a gun, wouldn't you rather go to a gun shop where you can inspect it before buying? But these home shopping TV channels make no sense to me anyway, no matter what they are selling.

This will only inspire more people to commit mass shootings. How could Obama permit this?!

Even worse.

1. He's not kidding.

2. They are able to buy firearms from their homes. America will be 10x as deadly and dangerous.

I don't really see the point, all sales will have to go through a local FFL anyway, it's no different than online sales, and less convenient to boot. Not a big deal all around.

While technology has made shopping-channels obsolete, it's the image of a homer simpson like man seeing a gun for sale on tv and grabbing for the phone, which makes this feel uber-american.

Of course he could shop for and order the gun on his phone while seated on the toilet, but that image is to recent to have become a piece of americana yet.

HeeHAW, if there is one thing wrong with America, it's that it's not easy enough to buy a gun.

That's right folks. Here in America we're always rootin' tootin' ready for shootin'. Nothin' but weapons is always at the forefront of our minds. Well except maybe drinkin'. And maybe that new uh green spice I heard about called cannableis. Though them kids don't be making any sense nowadays. I don't know why that's ok but them cigars is bad for you.

As a gun owner (becuase you know every American owns a gun becuase we're so thirsty for blood. Ya know what I mean? Nothing like the fresh scent of gun powder in the mornin'.) I think it's respectable that some folks in them there other parts of the world is scared of guns becuase they do make loud noises. I mean, really guns is so evil, how did humanity ever survive since the invention of gunpowder ya know? I wish I could say guns could be used for good things, but tarnation, I just can't little fellas. Sorry that these here boomsticks go around shootin' people for no reason, I mean what were people thinkin' when they invented them!? Man, we's Americans got so much to learns ya know? The whole world is just so sophisticated and knows better than us. Gosh darn it I do believe I wonder what crumpets and tea and all that fancy stuff tastes like.

Yep, we's Americans sure is stoopid⸮!

I like the Gun TV thing in principle but the practical side of it is silly as s**t. It wold never occur to me to buy anything via TV shopping, let alone guns. I thought TV shopping was only for a rapidly dwindling number of old people who havent yet discovered they can do more online than e-mail and facebook.
