I notice that now everybody has 5 squares over their avvy... can someone explian what this is???

Its the new WrongPlanet.net rank system. You can see how many posts a person has by seeing how many squares they have. Special ranks like forum moderator and site admin have 5 squares regardless of the number of posts. Veterans have A LOT of posts and have probably been using wrongplanet more than most other people.
