Ever notice how the 1024x768 resolution seems to become less and less? On windows ME (mean OS) the 1024x768 resolution is equivelent to win2Ks 1600x1200 it seems like!

Any way to get around this?

Choose a bigger screen size?

It's more of a question of why is it different then it is having enough money to buy a larger monitor.

Sensory issues+anything under 85HZ=pain

One reason is that Windows XP comes with bigger user interface features by default (big buttons and blue bars etc). Try setting a 'classic' look (control panel --> display --> appearance --> Windows Classic Style).

I dunno how to explain it, oh well. Yes the size does change according to resolution, but I guess that it's one of those 'features' put in to bug people.

um, when you change resolution it is like having a can of beer (your fonts) in a shoebox (low rez) and taking your can of beer and putting it in a refrigerator box (high rez). When you compare the two, the can looks a heck of a lot smaller in the refrigerator box. Since the screens are the same size it looks smaller in the high rez than in low rez. if you don't believe me, open a pic file in whatever and change your resolution. when you change resolution the pic will appear to change size but in reality the total area of the screen is changing whilest the pic is holding constant. The same is true with your fonts. Microsoft is *not* playing games with the users, it is just a optpical illusion.

I understand what you are saying. It isn't just my font that's messed up it's the entire system. Windows ME was designed to run at a lower resolution and windows 2K higher then ME.

My problem isn't that my 'can of beer' is small, it's that on windows ME at the same resolution I can fit more 'cans of beer' on one monitor then on win2K.
