Best Power Rangers Era

Despite Turbo I guess I'll go with the Zordon Era. My fourth and least favourite is obviously Neo Saban. However I can't decide which my second favourite is.

I would have to say the post Zordon era.

-Lost Galaxy: good space opera, tried experimenting with star trek-ish themes.Even some starship troopers and Aliens references.

-Lightspeed rescue:My favorite season.It also had some of the more intimidating villains. (Jinxer>Finster)

-Time force:My personal pick for best season story-wise.Themes about finding yourself,and forging your own destiny.Ransik and Frax are probably the most complex villains.


-Wild Force: a very hit or miss season, but reinforcements from the future and forever red make it worth it.
Ps.I really wish i had the notes for Zen Aku's song and the song of animaria so i could play them on my flute.

I prefer this era because it learned from it's experiances during the Zordon era and improved.

I quit watching it after they went into space.

I found that most people who started with mighty morphin' quit watching arround Turbo or In Space-Lost Galaxy.
Yes, Turbo was the season that almost killed the franchise, yet ironically Carranger it's Japanese Super Sentai counterpart was the season that saved the Super Sentai franchise in Japan.

That just speaks to differences in tastes between Japanese and Western audiences though.

There will be a Power Rangers film reboot set for release by late 2017/early 2018.

Not just that, but one big difference between the power ranger and super sentai franchises is that power rangers are all (loosely)related through canon (RPM hapens in an alternate timeline, but they have crossed-over). Super Sentai on the other hand isin't (except for Sun vulcan,1981).

Super sentai can start fresh devoid of all continuity every new season.One season could be dark, gritty and serious, while another like Carranger (Turbo) or Go-onger (RPM) could be silly slapstick seasons.Power rangers on the other hands seems to prefer leaving the comedy to comic relief characters, like Bulk and Skull.Some seasons have episodes or moments where they parody or laugh at their own show (Dino Thunder RPM was full of those).

Overall: an overly silly and goofy power rangers season would stick-out like a sore thumb.

I quit watching cuz it came on before I got home from school. I think Fox quit showing it after that & I never seen the series on TV till Nickelodeon picked it up. The little of it I seen on Nick, didn't look that good to me.

Here's one case:

In power rangers Turbo is nicknamed "the season that almost killed the show" (the same could be said for Operation overdrive).In Japan it's equivellent to a franchise-killing season would be Ohranger (1995) a.k.a Zeo.

Ohranger was meant to be an anniversary season, so the writters tried to go for a much darker then usual mood for this season.Unfortunately 1995 was a pretty terrible year for Japan with the Kobe Earthquake and the Tokyo gas attacks by the murderous sect Aum Shinrikyo.Because of these events the writers were forced to switch between dark-and light scripts and the show suffered.However: the show survived thanks to toy sales.I have to admit, the Zeo megazord is cool, and i own the Gold Ranger's action figure!

After nearly avoiding a disaster, Toei (the producers of super sentai) decided to produce a silly lighthearted season full of slapstick, but still not too ridiculous.And thus Carranger was born! I've also heard from fans more familiar with Super Sentai that Carranger was givena better time-slot, either way it was very successful in the ratings and saved the franchise.

I know what you mean. Arround the time Zeo aired on Fox it aired just as i came back from school.I actually had to stop watching for awhile due to moving.Here in Canada back then you could't get Fox everywhere.Fortunately most of the post-Zordon/Disney era seasons aired on the Family chanel (think of it as Disney Chanel Canada) in the morning as i was eating breakfast and getting ready for school.

The Nick seasons a.k.a "neo-Saban era".Have had bad seasons lately,most fans will agree that Samurai and Megaforce sucked.However Dino Charge is a breath of fresh air and i'm really enjoying it so far
