There are so many technical problems with this website it's really annoying to use sometimes.There are so many people who use this forum it's really a shame that it's half broken sometimes and has none of the features 90% of other forums have. Like for example things like being notified when someone quotes you, or mentions you. Or even the little things like being able to send PMs without the system failing half the time or throwing you into a CAPTCHA loop. Most people will probably just switch to other forums over the years if this keeps up.

It seems that 95% of the complaints about the way this site operates come from 5% of the users, most of whom imply or explicitly state that other websites are better than this website.

My experience with glitches on WP is minimal - my PMs go through, my posts rarely get "Captcha'ed", and the system does not disconnect at random. This holds true whether I use an Android, iPad, laptop, Windows PC, or Linux-based Mac system.

The root causes for other people's problems may likely involve the settings they have on their particular devices. Some people get "Captcha'ed" for putting quoted texts, external links, and questionable language in their posts.

Then again, if other websites are so much better than WrongPlanet, then why are the people say so still here?

^ Agreed.

I'd also add that I get a "You cannot use this function at this time" error message when using the "View Posts Since Last Visit". After 4 or 5 attempts it works.

The reason people stay here IMO is because even if other sites might be running better forum software this is where all the people are. What good is a fancy (or just normally functional) forum if there is no one to talk to?

I know about that. I think it's really annoying sitting there refreshing a page because the site is too slow to keep up with all it's users (that's flooding protection there).
