I read on TV Tropes that the Nagato Yuki-chan spin-off series failed to generate any real interest back into the Haruhi'verse. (To be fair, the Nagato Yuki-chan anime was kinda fun at first, but then had a really boring arc until about episode 10, when Nagato almost got run over by a car and was having really wonky personality, identity, and memory issues, which was when the series was most interesting.) I got into the series back in April, and it is kinda sad that this is probably it for the series.
