Look at him smirking and mocking the committee - I hope he faces a long enough sentence with no possibility of parole that will sufficiently wipe that smirk off his fugly face :

What a smug piece of s**t. It's like he revels in being an awful person, in being subhuman and getting the reaction of contempt and disgust from other people. What has to be wrong with you, what sort of messed up childhood/brain chemistry does one have to have to end up like this human dumpster fire? How is it possible to ENJOY being hated (he really does seem to enjoy it)? I really don't understand people like this. Is he some kind of masochist? Is he a pure psychopath who revels in being as evil as possible? This mentality is truly baffling.

Maybe Shkreli's mother dropped him on his head when he was a newly born. Would have been better if she'd strangled this POS, instead.

Oh and to answer somebody's question, I vote: Psychopath

am wondering if his siblings are sociopathic also or if he just happens to be the black sheep of the family? he came from a working-class background but via diabolical cleverness and ruthlessness got very lucky.

To be fair, refusing to answer any questions is simply the rational thing for him to do in this situation. He would be well advised to not answer any even if he was innocent as a lamb. Therefore this has nothing to do with him being smug or an a***hole, simply him not being an idiot.

The only part that could be interpreted as smug is him smiling at the committee members and I think that also has other possible interpretations than him being a psychopath/a***hole/whatever.

Note that I'm commenting only on this video here. I'm not saying that he isn't an a***hole or a psychopath, only that we cannot conclude that from this video.

let's just say that his behavior there was consistent with a malignant narcissist.
