Post your favorites, or just ones that you feel best reflect the era!
If you can, please post the group, name of the song, date and anything else you wish...
I'll start with one that pre-dates MTV, "Once in a Lifetime" by the Talking Heads, 1980.
And the iconic one that kicked off the channel & music videos as a form of media and art, 'Video Killed the Radio Star' by the Buggles, which was actually recorded in 1979 (MTV debuted on August 1st, 1981. It was...amazing at the time).
And finally, just because I wanted so badly to look like her when I saw this at maybe 12-14 years old, Pat Benetar's 'You Better Run' from 1980 (also pre-MTV & one of the few vids in their early rotation):

@Slenkar, this one's for you. I may have once driven across the city when I was supposed to be working, in order to see Alison Moyet sing at Tower Records...

My buddy and I used to sing this song when we got drunk.
This one was perfect for me as a teenager

Autistic Themes. I have posted these before.
Introversion, Outsider lyrics
They Might Be Giants Videos from the period have stimmy, spastic movements
Sensory overload theme lyrics
Not from the 80's at all but no song comes close to describing theory of mind issues

Awsome thread (warlocks 'all we are' video)
The lead singer of that one makes me want to post a Lita Ford video, which would then compell me to post Joan Jett after something from the Runwaways!
And, just b/c I'm a pedant and need to get the earliest videos out of my head, here's one more from the early MTV rotation. It still creeps me out so that I get nightmares, even all these years later...

Just a nothing post to force a new page. Someone PM'd me letting me know they couldn't post to this thread although others are fine & maybe it was b/c too many videos are on one page. So, I'm making a very tall post so it takes up room and hopefully flips the page
