One that causes me a lot confusion is when someone says "next Friday", "next Monday" or whenever. I understand this to mean the next Friday or Monday but NT's often mean the Friday or Monday AFTER that. So I often have to specify the date to be sure.

"you look angry today."

I think that is self explanatory.

Mostly because I have this very strong mask. It's charismatic, it's smiley, it's polite, and it's all unnatural actions for me, drummed into me by the time period and cultural requirements. But as soon as it slips, I get the above.

"You're too smart to be doing these things."

Uhhhh, no, I never learned 'these things'. Did not realize until this year that is not how things are supposed to work. Somehow I'm supposed to fill in blanks on my own.

"I didn't do that."

Huh? Yes, you and I are the only people in the house. I always leave 'this (whatever it is)' in the same place. I didn't move it. You had to move it.'
'Why would I move it?'
'I don't know, but it's moved.'

This actually covers the whole 'white lie' type of thing. I see the inconsistency and it messes with me severely.

"Stop fidgeting with (keys in pocket, change in pocket, idling the legs, drumming fingers, making little odd sounds, talking to myself, anything repetitive or distracting to them)"

Most of my stims have been shunted to 'quiet areas' like my pockets and I try not to drum my fingers or bounce the legs when in public. However, I have learned to embrace them greatly in private and well, it's almost like a tranquilizer sometimes. But, they sneak out in public and it causes me great stress sometimes and embarrassment. I actually pace during my classes because I can lecture and not have to touch or see the screen. That's been getting worse over the last year and half.

Most things people say that irritate me are just things that make me feel even more isolated from people. Which is strange because I really would like to be able to do the things I see other people do, but, still isolate myself a lot because it's just beaten me to death trying to fit in.

Wow...I didn't think of that. I have to do that too. Even to the point of making sure what time zone when arranging phone calls.

A lot of them.
Idioms that make no sense/ are outdated.
There are so many that I can't bring to mind a specific one right now.
Especially ones that the user doesn't know the origin of and why it means that, and then they get mad at you for asking, as though it's like a deeply personal secret, or something.
I want to say to them: 'Calm down, I only asked you what a 'layman' is, I didn't ask for nude photos of your mother.'
I especially don't like slang (with some exceptions), abbreviations (especially when people say 'BTW', or worse 'BT Dubs'. 'BTW is more bloody syllables than 'By the way'!), or when someone chops off the second half of a word and adds a random vowel to the first half, like 'defo'; that makes me feel incredibly angry, and like I may actually be able to cringe myself in half (figuratively).

My least favourite is 'hun'; are you calling me bee's vomit, or implying that I may invade China?

"What's wrong? You're not smiling!"

They don't get that a poker face is my happy face.

"YOLO, "Bae," "Cray-cray," or any other moronic phrase that was spawned from the mire that is social media.

This annoys me too. When I say next Monday I mean next Monday, not the Monday after that, not three Monday's from now, I mean NEXT Monday.

For me personally I've never been completely comfortable with the phrase "Chill out".

It took me absolutely years to figure out what it meant and now when I hear people say it it brings back memories of my struggle to understand the phrase and also if someone says it to me it just makes me feel even more anxious than before.

"stop biting your nails"..........why, in what way does this actually affect you? They're my fingers after all.

"calm down"..........if you saw things the way I do, you would not be calm, trust me.

"Lol, you're weird"............no, no I'm not, it's just you lack the imagination to accept that people can be different.

"You saw a spider?! Burn your house down immediately!"..............you really want to destroy all your belongings and make yourself homeless because you encountered a tiny creature? Please, keep your hyperbole under control, it's boring and hackneyed.

The general never ending noise and chatter is too much to bear and why do they have to have the radio on at all times? Even my son was born to a Cher song playing on the background :?

I see this a lot here. Well, a couple of times, but it is common enough that it is repeated. So, let me answer you by real experience from me and my brother.

1. I used to bite my nails until I got Impetigo, stage 3 from it. Impetigo is very, very contagious, so I got isolated from physical contact. My skin broke out in highly infectious boils. They would break and streak at night. New boils would form on the streaks and start the process all over again. Had to get wrapped up like a mummy on both thighs. Took weeks to get rid of it and hurt like you would not believe. Try being covered in boils between your thighs when you walk and everything rubs against each other, or try to sleep when you can't find a spot that's not boiled up into giant whiteheads. Thank god we got it before it reached the crotch. Oh, and let us not forget the pain of having to have them cut open and expressed. Still have leg scars from it after nearly 50 years.

2. My brother almost ruined his finger tips from biting and peeling the nails. Infections from torn nails into the quick. Ruined nail bed and a bit of loss of sensation from all the beating the nails took over the years.

So, does that affect you? A short search would have answered that and more.

Just because you don't like it doesn't invalidate it.

"At midnight tonight."

Excuse me, but "midnight tonight" has already passed. I think you mean "midnight tomorrow."

No, I've never had any infection. I still don't see how it affects other people though :?

Any internet slang really annoys me.

"Cray cray" "twerking" "selfie" "duckface" etc.
