I did till 4th grade & I road them after that when we went on field trips.

Yes, for many years. In kindergarten to public school and then in grades 4-12 when I was in special education schools.

me too i rode on the school bus lots as a kid and as a teen ever used a seat belt or harness on the bus

One of the buses that take us from the employee parking lot to the building used to be a yellow school bus, so I have actually been on one fairly recently. I haven't seen it in a few months (a lot of people complained that it was hard to get on because of knee/leg problems, maybe that's why they might've switched it?), though. People did make jokes that they felt like they were back in school when on it. :)
