I'm guessing she'll go with Terry McAuliffe, the current governor of Virginia.

Ironically the ones that would help her campaign the most with those left of center won't be considered b/c they have already refused to endorse her.

If she wins you might as well bet on world war III.

It would be interesting if it came down to Hilary Clinton and Ted Cruz because then they could both explain how they're both financially endorsed by Goldman Sachs. Talk about betting on two horses in a race.

Prediction market says Tim Kaine or Julian Castro:

Another says Julian Castro or Tim Kaine:

My guess is Castro. He'll lock up more Hispanic supporters that Trump will alienate. He'll present a youthful energy that might appeal to Bernie's voters.

IMO, it would be very ironic if Hillary chose Bernie as her running mate, given that both have been throwing punches at each other since Martin O'Malley dropped out.

I think Sherod Brown would be a decent choice.

Right now I think Julian Castro seems to be the most obvious pick...

The primary reason for picking Tim Kaine is to appeal to moderate voters who may lean Republican, but Castro is actually fairly well-liked among moderate Republicans (based on his confirmation vote), so that base might already be covered.

Kaine has also suggested that he might not be interested in the the VP spot (although this doesn't rule him out af of yet, of course)

Julian Castro seems to have several things going for him. He is:

(1) Young (can appeal to younger voters, which isn't Hillary Clinton's strong suit)
(2) Hispanic/Latino (a Captain Obvious advantage given both the Trump campaign and the changing demographics of the US)
(3) Already serving in the Obama cabinet (can ensure continuity and a quick transition from Obama to Clinton)

Castro is also from Texas, but I doubt that will make much of a difference: While the Democrats would love to be able to turn Texas "blue", it is very unlikely that this will happen in the short run.
