Sheez, this would have saved me years of waiting for an adult diagnosis. I had incredible mydriasis (dilated pupils) until I was about 30 years of age.

I had autistic symptoms at a young age.

I've never had any eye doctor tell me that I've had a "delayed pupil response."

Who knows? This might indicate autism in some people.

I didn't remember my mydriasis until I was searching through childhood photographs in preparation of my diagnosis in 2015. Even then, I thought, "Wow! I forgot how I got teased for my always-dilated pupils!" and nothing else. Now, this news comes out ... very interesting.

Interesting? I too have delayed pupil response to light. But I also was born with a lazy eye as well, and I contributed that to the cause of most of my social problems, that's before I was diagnosed with AS.

I have pretty bad light sensitivity--could this be related?

I guess slowly dilated pupils is the reason I only like going outside with sunglasses.
