I would first tell you that regardless of whether other people liked it if you want to see The Force Awakens then just do so and form your own opinion of it. As far as my opinion goes I thought it did too much copy/paste from the original trilogy without any real thought of differentiating the new generation from the old. This resulted in a script that was formulaic and uninteresting to me. That isn't to say there weren't any good parts to it, I loved BB-8 and Finn whenever there wasn't snappy Diablo Cody-esque dialogue being thrown around.
