Scientific study on Asperg/Autistic adult job experiences
This is a great paper, as my Aspie traits have made it hard for me to get a job the traditional way, through an interview. The jobs I had were ones where I didn't have to really interview for, and one seasonal retail job where the supported employment agency had previous experience with the store. Right now, I'm doing the occasional temp assignments as agencies don't really interview you, just give you computer tests.
Supported employment can be a good thing if the agency providing the service has worked with the company you're interviewing with, but if they've never heard of the concept, it can actually harm your chances of getting hired, based on my experience. It seems like you get more of a break in the process if you have a physical disability, but if your disability isn't obvious, you tend to get screwed in the end.
