So guys, if you ever wondered why you receive few replies there, that's why.

So girls, if you ever wondered why you receive a lot of messages thee, that's why too.

How could you tell if those are fake or real?

Those with one-picture and model-like are always fake.

Although I question the scientific rigors of the test, the results should be no surprise: look at last year's Ashley Madison blowup, where they admitted half the profiles were fake.

I question more the honesty of those app owners, they're businessmen after all, what's more profitable for them is not really helping you to find someone but to keep you using the app even if they know that their app has very few women.
So an imbalanced sex ratio would push those owners to create tons of fake female profile to keep the larger segment of users (males) to remain.

Ashley Madison blowup exposed how much of sausage fest it was, 20 MILLIONS of active men vs only 2500 active woman- 90% of female profiles were fake.

I really hope one day Okcupid/pof and other popular dating apps to be hacked as well, and to expose the real sex ratio there (I bet it's even way more imbalanced than the formal stats).

Well, it shouldn't be shocking and it's not like it's going to stop. As I've said before, drop food into a pool of schooling fish and see how quickly they all rush to the center for a piece-- nature. Bait is bait, whether it's artificial or real.

Some of the men on dating sites seem to have more than one profile on the same site too.

That's either a case of people forgetting by their profile exists and making a new one or making up two identities and seeing which one women prefer.

Weiners?

Ah... fake profiles are unfortunately part and parcel with dating sites.
Some are made by the site owners and scammers are also about.

Actually, this confirms my experience with a local christian dating site. Because women on average tend to be more religious, it makes sense that there's more of them on religious sites.
