The hemp-derived CBD oil (defined as oil processed from industrial hemp that has been bred to keep an ultra-low THC content but higher CBD content, and then in some cases refined further to eliminate much of the non-CBD content of the oil) is legal in the USA right now.
Marijuana-derived CBD oil (defined as oil processed from marijuana to have a low THC content, higher CBD content, or some mix between the two) is illegal under federal law but legal under the laws of some states.
The absurd thing is that both kinds of oil are derived from the same genus of plant - cannabis, and often from the same species of plant (most often Cannabis Sativa, but also some times from C. Indica, C. Ruderalis, or a hybrid between two or three of these species). The only real difference is the history of production and the amount of THC content. --- But I'm not complaining. I've had reasonably good results from the hemp-derived CBD oil, which I'm very grateful for. It has helped with my anxiety, depression and sensory issues.
What is the cost like in the USD of hemp derived oil?
Hemp derived CBD oil? I don't know if there's a difference in price with the genus of the plant...but in my case it's about its about $50 for a 30ml bottle from a dispensary, 250mg cbd in a bottle. I've seen the oil cheaper but its largely sold through dispensaries.
My mother got the oil and I tried cdb heavy buds (Remedy). I didn't notice any decrease in anxiety, depression or really anything with the cbd buds. Normal THC does a better job at that, imo

I'm going to try seeing if a ratio of the two works better.
