It says I can't change it, but can a mod/admin do it for me?

I don't think so but they might close or ban your account and have you open up a new one, I don't know their policy on this but I think I have seen a few people do that.

Mods cannot do that. If you want to start over with a new nickname, I can close your current account so you can open a new one under a different name without breaking the rule against having more than one account.
