Autism is discussed (I assume facetiously) at 0:44-1:00.

I first saw this line of the discussion at the Daily Stormer and Info Stormer, neonazis who borrow premises from Alex Jones, or vice versa. (Uses the words, spergie and autiste.)

I don't get it how autism can be used as an insult for example someone said to me: "OMG your like, so autistic!!", to put that into context, i was playing a game, and i killed them in the exact same way 4 times in a row (what an idiot), my reply was "yes, yes i am, whats your point?" haha they wen't all quiet then.....

but you get the whole intention, which is the insulting part, its not the word itself, but how the fact that they would attempt to use it in that situation.

In 4chan slang autism means "what a dumb choice" or something similar

I was once called a "****ing autist" in an online Pokemon battle. It hurt. It really hurt.

I keep seeing it in YouTube comments. (Yes, I know I shouldn't read the comments, but some of them are interesting.)

It isn't just "He's autistic" there. It's "This video is autistic," which is not only crazy and offensive, but utterly nonsensical. To make matters worse, the angry replies (if any) are always along the lines of "No, it's not," not "Autism isn't an insult." I keep wanting to post a reply before reminding myself that that's what the trolls want.

A stupid use of a word by a bunch of uneducated youths living in mommy's basement, just like the word ret*d/ret*d. Seriously, there needs to be a charity to donate dictionaries and thesauri to these individuals.

I've seen it used on other forum boards that are nothing to do with autism, yes. People having an argument about something, disagreeing or trying to insult the other person will throw out the word "autistic" as part of a very clearly intentioned insult, to try to suggest things like the person is anything from obsessive to stupid to mentally ill.

It's pretty appalling. It seems to be a "fashionable" insult these days. It used to be the R word, now it's autism.

So like with "ret*d" and "manic-depressive" perfectly accurate descriptions we are going to shun the the word "autistic" now and replace it with what "non neurotypically abled"?

We're running out of words to use for mental disabilities. People get so mad when I tell them that it's not a nice thing to say. I swear the Internet is nothing but kindergarten bullies in adult bodies.

I hate when people use autistic as an insult. "Oh, so you're using autistic as an insult. Tell me about how ignorant you are."

The trick is to take their power away by not being insulted.

I have been called many things, and it never bothers me.

Back when I was in school, the bullies would attempt to make fun of me in front of everyone, but it didn't last long as they didn't gain anything from it, because it didn't get to me.

People who feel the need to fling these insults are attempting to make themselves feel better about their own inadequacies, they are effectively saying by insulting you: "I feel you are better than me, so I will attempt to bring you down to my level, because I am to lazy \ stupid to work on my own self image".
