I have Gastro parisis, and have a stomach pacemaker for it.
i was also born with a unique eating problem, seriously, there was an entire medical discussion between loads of doctors and surgeons about me.
basically, theres a valve on your stomach, it lets food out or in (one at the top lets them in, bottom one lets them out) mine had a second one growing into it, which means i couldn't actually process food, they did every test they could think of, they couldn't figure it out, until they operated on me to do a stomach bypass and discovered the whole valve thing, they instead removed the valve and i was okay for a year, but then the whole gastro parisis thing started after that year, and the hospital stuff began again. basically had the whole stomach valve thing from when i was about 8, till i was 10, then it was a year, i went to high school, got the gastro parisis thing, till i was 14 then got the pacemaker. means i still can't eat some foods, i don't do things like wheat very well, and sometimes i just can't tolerate random things haha.
im kind of glad they discovered it in that first one as i was kind of....dying....slowly. my body just couldn't take in food, so i was getting thinner and thinner and thinner, wasting away, i don't know how my parents managed to keep calm and normal around me, but they did (but not when i wasn't present)
