I am a huge (even my body is small) fan of The big bang theory. I am waiting on season 9 on dvd. It will come in December. Anyone else likes Amy and Sheldon and the gang?

Absolutely. While the term Asperger's in never uttered, it's the first time that I know of that being an Aspie has been shown in a good light... if shown at all.

I'll raise my hand. Raj is my favouritest character.

I liked it a lot for several years, but it kind of wore thin at some point. But happy for those of you who love it.

Agreed, but the completist in me will probably see the series through 'til it's end...

I love the show, but oddly enough I knew nothing about any character's reputation for Asperger's when I got into the show. I came to it late, maybe around 2011, and I didn't know anything at all about Sheldon or the popular association between him and autism. I just channel flipped one day and found myself laughing at Leonard on that research ship in the storm, I think it was.

It was only years later I even ran across talk of Sheldon being an aspie.

I don't relate to Sheldon at all, because even if he is secretly intended by the writers to have ASD, he's the type of Aspie I'm not; we wouldn't get along at all and I can't relate to much of anything about him, except for the place on the couch and the routine loving.

SHELDON COOPER IS MY FAVOURITE!! ! HE MAKES SHOW!! ! OMGLOL!! !

I love Amy too.

I don't think big bang would even be a good show without Sheldon.

I find it uncomfortable to watch. I'll stick to Doctor Who and Star Trek.

I've seen a few parts of it every once in a while, but I'm not really that much of a fan. I thought Sheldon was pretty funny, like in the ball pit scene where he keeps hiding and says "Bazinga!", but like most sitcoms, most of the humor doesn't appeal to me. I had no idea people suspected Sheldon of having Aspergers until reading about it on the internet years later.

Caught up in reruns but lately haven't watched.
I'm wondering if it will hold up watching it in 10 years.

I am waiting on Season 9, too. Amazon says it will be released September 13.
