I have had a job advertisement what I am very likely to get, and also it means if I get it I can move into my partner's apartment permanently. Also it's a job I'd love, and is very anxiety-friendly.

The only catch is, it is only 8 hours, one day a week. So that means I will only be getting half of what I earn now.

But I really want to move in with my partner, and I am unhappy where I currently work (which is 25 miles away from where he lives), and so I am really desperate to hand in my notice and resign as soon as I can, preferably before Christmas.

Do you think it's best if I leave the job I'm unhappy in to go for a job with fewer hours but better environment where I will be happier AND be able to move in with my partner?

It sounds like you have answered your own question. Making changes that make you happier is a no brainer. Don't worry about the money so much, if you will be happier then money will follow

from my point of view, that's a self-answering question :D

as long as you don't go into debt for it, there's really nothing wrong with making less money. you can always find other things (profitable or not) to do with the rest of your time

Well I want to di it, but I'm not sure it's a good idea or not. My partner says it's upto me and that we can sort something out financially, but my mum thinks it's not a good idea because I won't be earning enough money. It would do me good emotionally though, because if I'm happy, I'm more motivated and less anxious.
