Any Inspector Morse fans?

I've seen every episode, and I'm in the process of reading all the books.

Morse is wonderful. I've seen all the episodes too, but have never read the books. The series 'Endeavour', about the young Morse, is also marvellous - in fact better in some ways. I was at Oxford so it brings back memories.

Oddly enough I often wonder if Morse is an undiagnosed Aspie.

Oh yes, I love Morse. I have seen them all.
Lewis isn't bad but Morse is still my favourite!

I love 'Endeavour' too. I really hope that they introduce will McNutt some time soon.

I've also wondered about Morse being an Aspie. I remember from something saying that Morse, when he was in the army, was almost driven mad by the prickly uniform. Touch sensitivity?

The prickly uniforms used to drive me mad when I was in the army too, so that's genuine. And then there's his overall social ineptness, approaching things from angles that other people don't understand, the lack of friends and relationships, his obsessive interest in opera, crosswords, codes and patterns - all of which make him a good detective, of course. In fact there are a lot of people on the spectrum in Oxford, particularly at the university, which attracts them.

Who's Will McNutt? I don't remember him.

Oops, I meant to write 'Hopefully they WILL INTRODUCE MCNUTT.' Sorry.

McNutt appeared in Masonic Mysteries. When Morse was a sergeant, McNutt was his mentor.

I love this show and everything about it -- the music score, Morse's own refined tastes in music, the peaceful Oxford setting (well, aside from the horrible crime rates fictionally depicted, lol!). Excellent television.

I haven't read the books, and I haven't watched Endeavour, for some reason.

I love Morse. It's brilliant telly.

I've wondered too if Morse is an aspie. I reckon he might well be. Certainly the character of the man is one of the reasons I find the show so enjoyable.
