http://reason.com/blog/2016/11/11/elect ... tack-false

It, along with several other alleged attacks by Trump supporters, appears to be a hoax.

I wonder how much DNC-funded domestic terrorist Robert Creamer paid for each one of these fake stories?

Not enough for the cops to cover them up, apparently.

Link to source of picture? (A picture of people in shorts and short sleeves in Minnesota in November.)

Campus police and city police report no record of any such incident, and the person's facebook page has been deleted.

And I suppose that school with the swastikas and Trump slogans spray painted on side of the building is just a hallucination. Damn our lying eyes! :P

In a nation of 300 million people, some of them are going to be a**holes. On the other hand, if it's the "make America white again" one that I keep seeing, that comes off more as someone trying to portray Trump as a Nazi white supremacist than something a Trump supporter would write.

You seriously don't think white supremacists would write such a thing? No one is saying all Trump supporters are bigoted vandals, but that's no reason to give such racist persons a pass, or to cast aspersions on Americans who had voted against Trump.

No, but changing "make America great again" into "make America white again" was a common liberal tactic for insinuating that Trump was racist during the campaign, http://www.snopes.com/make-america-white-again-trump/ .

Who's casting aspersions? You're the one convinced it must have been Trump people, I offered the possibility that it was, but also the alternate that it could have been anti-Trump people trying to make him look bad.

C'mon, the people who were victimized here - namely the racial minority kids attending that school - were the ones who were left shaken and afraid since that vandalism incident. Implying that this was done by Anti-Trump people makes many people much less sympathetic to those children.
And really, while that "make America white again" slogan had been used by Anti-Trump activists, you can't seriously believe that it's never been used by racists, because it definitely has.

Well if a rightwing blog says so, it must be true.

i really should be taking a break from posting, because i'm really busy right now, but i guess i can't help myself

anyways...

please, people, regardless of your political faction, DO NOT trust "social media news". a quick tineye and reverse-google search already shows that the image probably already existed three years ago. the existing copies of it seem to trace back to "u.s. uncut", which i had never heard of before, but after two seconds of browsing it i can already see that it's totally clickbaity and not trustworthy at all

if you see something on social media and it's something infuriating and there's no way to corroborate it, then it's probably not a coincidence that there's no way to corroborate it. it's almost certainly either fake, taken completely out of context or blown out of proportion

facebook is cancer. don't give it a chance. don't share that stuff. that's how both sides got to be so easily discredited by the other one, and how a hot air buffoon got to be elected president

forget about "checking your privilege", but... do check your sources (and remember that wikipedia can help you with solid clues but it doesn't count as a source either). be skeptical. think not of what you're seeing, but the reasons why you may be seeing it, and the reasons why someone else (who probably doesn't share your interests) may want you to see it. and stay away from partisan news. it's so toxic that it's bad for your liver

https://images.google.com (click the little camera icon on the right of the search field)
(there are browser plugins to make it easy to apply those search engines to any image you see)

common sense, people. common sense. don't fall for the clickbait trap
