I don't think it's as profitable as concentrating resources on the other larger types of aircraft, you can put out a lot more flights and focus on quantity over prestige I guess, after the tragedy of air france flight 4590 there were a lot of changes to ensure something like that never occurred again so concorde wasn't written off in the same year but the novelty of getting to the east coast in a couple hours ran its course I guess (for those who bothered saving up or splashing out on it).

it is unfortunate that concorde was retired.
we took a step backward in a kind of way when it was retired.
there is another aircraft i like called XB-70 and it never went into production.
