I guess I'm not good at introducing myself. Plus the keypad on my phone stops showing at times for some reason. I was diagnosed w high functioning autism this year. I was hoping I can get some support and maybe some friends here. Right now I am also struggling through severe depression because of the constant stimuli in the house I live in and my family not understanding. I also wanted to learn how to get out on my own from my parents. I also thought maybe some other people would understand me better and I could get ideas and not feel so alone.

Hello there!
Seems like loneliness and depression are major problems for aspies these days. My wife got me a tiny dog to keep me company during the day. He's great company, sometimes when he squeaks he drives me crazy...my wife can't hear him make incredibly high pitched squeaks, but I can hear it plainly and the dog knows I can hear him and he irritates me into getting just whatever he wants.

Scruffy is essentially my only friend. Picture...how cute is that?

The dog looks cute. I have a cat. :) She's very calm and collected most of the time. She doesn't like being bullied by my sis's cat. Sometimes I don't like sounds from dogs either if its a loud bark. It's usually the pleading eyes that get me though. I'm glad you have a pal.

Hi! Welcome!

If you are near Nashville, there is a GRASP group there, I think.

Thank you. And thanks for the info on GRASP. I'm actually hours away from Nashville. Where I live any bigger town is 30 to 45 min away. That's what makes things so hard for me to find support close. Anyway, I regress. I would like to move away but no support yet.
