Back when I used to collect postage stamps from around the world,
the funniest stamp I ever saw, years ago, was one from the Philippines
which had a portrait of the President
with a message that could be taken two different ways:
"Help Me Stop Smuggling" :D

One of the problems with smuggling though, is that you wind up dealing with some very unsavory underworld characters who will either want cash payouts to ensure that nothing bad happens to your illegal business. If you don't pay them, then you will run the chances of being beat up, stabbed, your illegal goods being stolen, or perhaps even killed. --It's not like your going to run to the cops to complain that your illegal business is under attack, and your goods are being stolen, now is it?

This is how the mafia, and similar organised crime syndicates operate.

Then there is also the chance that you will get caught by the authorities, all of your goods confiscated, and fines and jail time. --Still sound like a workable plan?

I can trace my ancestry back to pirates. I therefore recuse myself from this thread.
