It will be horrible for people who are poor and absolutely NEED treatment for some chronic condition. It seems the GOP turds and all the people who vote for them just want this segment of society to commit suicide. They just don't f*****g care. f**k you trump voters.

The plan is horrid but honestly no big surprise. Republicans are greedy rich elite that rarely care about anyone else, except during elections (when they lie to get elected time after time). Anyone that is poor or sick- they treat like trash basically.

You know what else is bad? A law that make go into place that will allow employers to genetic test employees! I'm not even kidding.. so literally another way for employers to not hire because of something they find wrong. More discrimination against the sick and disabled. These people are going way too far! :x

"concentration camps" were not a one-time one-nation anomaly. we had them in our history, we'll have them again in the near-future. mark my words, this is happening again.

Remember this: Socioeconomic Genocide. That is our future no matter how much we kick and scream. The rich are through with us. The government doesn't want to serve the people anymore.

no more middle class [as we've come to know it] here, just upper class and lower class, with a small leisure class at the very top, and a huge underclass at the very bottom.

Before Trump was elected, a few people who have a chronic health condition and not much money gave me lectures about how Trump is the right choice and Clinton was not. As expected, they ended up voting for Trump. I refuse to believe that they were naive enough to not know about the possibility of ACA repeal. Especially since they say that they kept up with the news. These kinds of people bother me more than any others.

The ACA was not perfect, but I guess no-one can think of a better solution.

those particular low-info voters basically voted to screw themselves over, they drank the coolaid. and the rest of us 99%ers were poisoned in the process.

I haven't had time to review this yet.

All I know is that my aunt as a single mom working for slightly above minimum wage, absolutely could not afford Obamacare.

It was $290 per month and had a $7,500-$10,000 yearly deductible and limited coverage. And it was going to get much worse next year to the point of total collapse.

Why is it Democrats/liberals completely ignore this and pretend it's not a problem?

They're like "we know it's not perfect". No, it's a total and complete absolute disaster fail.

Now if my aunt ends up paying less per month and has lower deductibles under Trump's plan, then he did what he said he was going to do.

If not, then she's no worse off then she was with Obamacare.

How big is you aunt's family?

If she works 40 hours a week, she would make $480 a week if she makes $12 an hour (which is slightly above minimum wage in Washington State).

That means she makes just below $25,000 a year. If she supports a family of 4 people, she is just above the Federal poverty level.

If she works 35 hours a week, she would be below the Federal poverty level for four people, but just above it for three people

She should be eligible for at least some programs which might cut into what she pays in Obamacare. She might be able to get a better insurance plan. The one she has now really sucks.

In other "GOP are idiots" news- they apparently just passed a bill preventing lawsuits against corporations. So class action lawsuits will be harder to do. So companies can do what they want and not have to face any trouble if they get people sick or injured! Horrible!

Just my own personal opinions here:

Not a fan of Obamacare.

Am I a fan of Trumpcare? Am not sure. I'm hoping it will be an improvement.

And then there's this new bill that's being proposed about genetic DNA testing? ... Now that's pure evil. I don't care who came up with it, a Republican, a Democrat, whoever ... it's evil. This in particular definitely should be stopped.

trumpcare cannot be an improvement for many reasons, chief among them is insufficient financial support for working class citizens who likely will not get enough of a tax write-off due to the fact that they don't pay enough in income taxes in the first places for that particular tax scheme to work for them. IOW they get basically nothing. middle class will get a bit more. the wealthy will make out like bandits like they always do.
