the day before the 10kilometer, after work, took the bus to the expo. the expo was in a park. they did not have paper registration or accept cash. had to use phone and credit card. wasted $106 on a ten kilometer race (i earn $21 hour). picked up a race bib and shirt.
on saturday, brought two days' of lunches and put them in the refrigerator in the lockerroom at work.
went to bed 9pm. slept fine til 10pm. tried and failed to sleep until 2am. wanted to eat or binge on bread (which i sometimes do in the middle of the night). successfully refrained from eating. 2-4am slept fine.

woke up a couple minutes before the alarm at 4am. ate the usual breakfast. bowel movement. took the first bus of the day @ 5am. some lil dipshit was loitering @ the bus stop and on the bus and was on the phone flapping his stupidass trap on the phone (something about "tacos" and "female"). (rolls eyes). pouring down rain. wore rain jacket, rain pants, three jackets under the rain jacket, sweatpants under the rainpants, and shorts under that. shoes, socks, baseball cap, umbrella. took the bus to the 10kilometer race. arrived 6:15am for the 7am race. (could've taken the second bus, but did not, b/c sometimes the bus is late or does not arrive altogether). 48 degrees fahrenheit not that cold. with other racers, loitered under a roof overhang until the races started.
the marathon and the 10 kilometer races started at the same time, in the same location. it was not that crowded, and there were not that many spectators. sprinkled briefly. uneventful. tripped and almost fell 2x over potholes. it was good. picked up a finishers medal. they had goodie packets but i didn't take one.

after the 10kilometer, took the train to work. arrived @ work 1hour 45 minutes early. lied down in the lockerroom. shoes wet from the rain. the training room had free nachos and donuts, but, as usual, i did not eat any, b/c i was afraid of gaining weight.
