Inability to understand sarcasm is a trait associated with autism. I have always relied heavily on it myself. But when I began to really question it, I realized that though I may use sarcasm, I don't always recognize it being used. It would make me question them or ask if they are serious. This revelation makes me sorry I have used sarcasm so much. It's very rude.

Has this been the case for anyone else?

I'm told I am good at giving sarcasm. Sometimes I get when others are being sarcastic and sometimes I can't tell if they're serious or not.

Just recently someone made a reply to one of my posts in another forum and I said, I can't tell if you're playing along or if you're being serious.
