Has anybody else watched the movie Hook (and liked it?) I picked it up recently because I had vague memories of watching it when I was younger, and I really liked it. It's probably one of my favorite fantasy movies, even though people usually bash it as one of Spielberg's rare under-achievements. I thought it had some good humor, a decent story, an amazing score and some pretty beautiful matte paintings and production design.

I loved that movie as a kid. I watched it all the time when I was obsessed with Peter Pan. I think I used to want to be Peter Pan when I was younger lol

Oh yeah Hook. I remember bits and snippets of the movie when I was younger. Didn't Robin Williams play Peter Pan in that movie.

I absolutely loved Hook! I never knew that people thought of it as one of Spielberg's failures. I've seen the actor who played Rufio on a few things lately, and it made me think of the movie. "Ru-fi-oooooooooh!"

My favorite part of the movie was when the chubby Lost Boy gave Peter the bag of marbles. Peter giggled and said something like, "Tootles really did lose his marbles!" The lost boy said, "Yeah, he lost 'em good!"

I thought Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman were excellent! I loved everything about the movie.

Yeah, he did.

Remember the part where the littlest Lost Boy was trying to decide if Peter Panning was really Peter Pan? He touched his face and declared, "Oh, it's you, Peter!" I thought that was sweet.

There was another boy who had a funny voice too. He said something about "Pan The Man."

The scene where they were imagining a banquet dinner was another favorite. I wanted some of that colorful cream they were eating.

Yeah, that colourful cream stuff looked cool.
I liked the bit where Peter was pretending to be a pirate when he first got there as well. With Tink.
I thought the whole movie was great though. :D

I remember liking it a lot as a kid. I'm not sure I'd still like it if I saw it again though. (Too cheesy maybe? Dunno.) I remember that brief mermaid scene...hah.

Ha! It's funny how differently guys and women view movies. If I were to pick a least favorite scene, it would have been that one. I was mad at Peter for enjoying his life-saving kiss a little TOO much.
