what happened to wrongplanet?

for seveal hours today i tryed to get on, but it never would work.

hmm. I just tried it a few minutes ago and the same happened to me, and all of a sudden it came back on!

I found the same thing.

According to what I could tell, the server wasn't even acknowledging the fact that I was trying to connect to it as the connection was not getting past the "SYN_SENT" phase.

I got off work at 3pm. I hung out until 3:15pm.
I went to Starbucks by 3:20pm. I tried going
online from 3:20-4:00pm. I got online by going
to wrongplanet.org . I originally tried google,
zilch! I tried yahoo, zilch! I tried MSN, zilch!
It was when I got on w.p.org that I could backdoor
it? or directly divert to it(w.p.n).

Hmmm?

Probably coincidence GH - the 'backdoor' on The Prism (formerly WrongPlanet.org - we changed the name to avoid confusion with WrongPlanet.net) is just a link in the banner, nothing more matey - different site, different host. WP appears to have been unreachable for about four hours though - server problem perhaps?

Here is another tidbit that came later.
I started to have text and screen flickering
upon entering this website around 5pm.

It gave a final, and fatal "reset" flicker after
the letters greatly enlarged, then the 14"
TFT froze.

I did a emergency shutdown, and when I
restarted I lost all data in my harddrive.

It wasn't until today that I re-installed OS
9.1 and all my goodies that I use. Why
would have happened is beyond me.

It started upon entering the WrongPlanet.Net
site. Hmmmmmm?
