I've come to the conclusion that most of my dating types have been the ones i meet at mod reveues, hipster joints and even goth chicks have been pretty short lived. I've never connected well with my dates in my years of single life and I'm afraid my autism gets in the way of not communicating well with them. I mean, my longest relationship was three weeks. We'd hang out and have fun and go to shows, art shows, and not get bored out of our minds. Unfortunately, I realize I tend to screw up a lot like a klutz by not using facial expressions too well or overanalyzing women at first sight. This happens most of the time.

Am I alone or Am I an idiot? :(

To be perfectly honest I have never even kissed a girl unless you count one time in 4th grade when a girl kissed me and I ran away. I'll be 20 in a couple weeks so I guess that's pretty pathetic but I'm not that upset about it.

You have had the experience of dating. That's good at least. I have never had a date - I think its harder for a female with an 'extreme male brain' (Ref: Prof. Simon Baron Cohen) than for a male.

Same feeling here. I think NT women fear Asp because they (NT women) are so...how should I say that...highly social? Aspies ain't (I only accept 2-people relationships when concerning me) normally social so we seem too distant for them.

I think you're generalising. Don't take this the wrong way but I think your hang-ups and anxieties are your biggest challenge. That’s what makes us idiots if anything. It is the same for me too, and I'm not saying it is easy it is crippling. But even though you can't change AS you can work on your perceptions and fears slowly. Fact is humans are picky. You, me are no exception to the rule. Everybody has some sort of prerequisite so there no point in complaining. But it is not simply about of lack opportunity. I thought it was the case, but really you have to make the opportunities as well as try to broaden what you go for. It is not what we say that is driving us.

Somebody with experience kindly tell me if I’m talking s**t or not.
