So, in other words, we're not starting a "friendly feud!"

That's a lovely picture at the end of this thread there!

Oh scrulie! I have so many pictures of me around that age, with a very similar expression on my face!

It might take me a few days, since my albums are conveniently located at the back of the storage closet. But when I post it, I will make sure you see it!

I found a couple that were close at hand. Unfortunately they're polaroids, so the scan quality is poor. But hopefully you can still see what I'm seeing.

Both of these pictures were taken at happy events that I enjoyed very much, but it strikes me that I'm obviously thinking about something else entirely. That's still the case today at any gathering.

I look the same way in childhood pictures.

I'd post some but they're all in storage at my parents' place, and I'd have to find them, and then find a scanner to get them into digital format. For one thing I haven't got the motivation to go to all that work, and for two I worry that I'd never get the pictures back to storage at my parents' place and all those precious pictures would be lost because I'm just that irresponsible. Heh. :?

So you'll just have to trust me that I had the same look as a child. My parents even have a framed picture of me in their dining room at about age two that looks like that. (There's one of my brother too, but he's looking at the camera and smiling happily.)

I think we often have a look of childlike innocence.

When I was a freshman, someone told me that I looked like a porcelain doll from their mom's doll collection.

I didn't have porcelain-looking white skin, so I think it had more to do with the wide innocent eyes and serious mouth.
