She doesn't make any sense...lol she claims women of color may experience road blocks to choosing abortion and having access to getting one. So wouldn't the solution be ensuring women of racial minorities don't have less ability to choose and carry out getting an abortion than white women? I don't think white people having white children is really a contributor to the above issue.

So yes she does come of rather crazy/fanatical.

Isn't it also racist in itself to say non-whites are helpless? Why would abortion be a white supremacist deal when the ones most vocally against it are white Christians? The fact that white women are allowed to have an abortion flies against the notion about it being white supremacist based. Whoever created this article seriously needs a reality check.

In the plethora of feminist literature/articles this one seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

I think the author was trying to make a point about lost generation of African Americans growing up without fathers so she proposes leveling the playing field by making it easier for white women to get an abortion.

Of course the logic doesn't make sense as it won't solve the other problem about imprisoned black fathers (also makes some generalizations about African American men) but I don't think she was meaning this to be anti-white

Eh? It practically screams anti-white since it demands the "white family unit" be destroyed since it apparently perpetuates white supremacy, claims the notion of "choice" in abortion is inherently white supremacist (Wouldn't white supremacists not want white women to have that choice?), and calls white women hypocrites if they claim to be progressive but give birth to white children. The article also doesn't say white women have barriers getting abortions and somehow the fact they can get abortions while non-white women can't easily (Which is nonsense) is white supremacist. Seriously, what the hell? Wouldn't it be the other way around if society was truly white supremacist?

It's best to just ignore the extreme beliefs raving lunatics like these have and move on with your day (unless there's a chance they could become the next Hitler).

However if you discard the ranting essentially she isn't proposing anything earth shattering as many Hollywood celebrities and white American families have chosen to adopt African American children instead of having their own

Is Charlize Theron or Sandra Bullock being anti-white because they chose to adopt an African American kid instead of having one of their own?

If that isn't the dumbest s**t I have ever read, I don't know what is. This woman of color honestly believes that white women have to abort their white babies just to soothe her ego, insecurity and make up for what whites owe POC or whatever. And earlier on in the article she basically says that white women can easily get abortions, and POC can't. This is untrue because it completely disregards disabled white women who are often considered "mentally incompetent" and not given the freedom to make decisions like having abortions due to ableism. Sorry to break it to you, but not all white women are the privileged monsters you make them out to be. In the United States, autistic people are still fighting for voting rights because legally they can have their voting rights withheld if they are deemed "mentally incompetent" .

I am not denying the existence of racism against women of color in the states, but this woman is so self absorbed that she couldn't even take a moment to think that maybe not all white women are able bodied and living the good life like she is.
